Since I ordered the plans for this project from WoodcraftPlans.com, I have wound up building it in a variety of different versions. However, my original plan was to build it like you see in the photos above, with wood grain colors instead of paint. To give you an idea of the size of it, the pole is four foot tall. It is finished with Zinsser clear slellac. Under that, it has a variety of woods including cottonwood, oak, pecan, mahogany, cedar, and walnut.
